Lord John

Delighted to be able to share images of the completed ‘Lord John’ model I’ve been working on. This commission has been a joy to work on, if a monumental challenge in technical terms. It’s the first time I’ve modelled a building and used a lot of the techniques that this involved.

The original building, on Carnaby Street, was iconic and helped usher in the sixties men’s fashion revolution. Members of the Small Faces, Rolling Stones. and Beatles shopped and were styled there.

Creating the piece involved painting the famous psychedelic Binder, Edwards and Vaughan mural. I styled the window displays with sixties fashion, backing and dressed mannequins and installed LED lighting that retracts on an aluminium heat sink.
