Yoav is an Arts Foundation winning theatre designer with a background in film, TV and scenic projection design. His work has been seen at the National Theatre, Sadler's Wells, Bristol Old Vic, the Eden Project, Stratford Circus, the BBC, Sky Arts, the Tate Modern, Wembley Stadium and at a host of global film and music festivals.

In 2024 Yoav set and costume designed MICHAEL MORPURGO'S PINOCCHIO at the Watermill Theatre, directed by Elle While and Indiana Lown-Collins, which was critically acclaimed and selected in the Guardian’s top ten shows of the year. Their review says that ‘Every aspect of the stagecraft is outstanding’. Yoav also set designed CABLE STREET, directed by Adam Lenson, which sold out two runs (at Southwark Playhouse Borough and Elephant) and was selected in The Stage’s top shows of 2024 and described by them as a show with ‘Genuine theatrical swagger’.

Yoav was co-creator and designer of George the Poet's one-man play GEORGE AT THE NATIONAL (The Shed, National Theatre). Yoav's scenic projection design work includes 'VARMINTS, directed by Sally Cookson (Sadlers Wells, Stratford Circus, UK tour); IN PROGRESS created with Wang-Ramirez and the Olivier nominated Rocio Molina (Sadler's Wells); CROW created by the team behind WarHorse (Handspring UK, 2012 Cultural Olympiad). Yoav also delivers creative work in TV and Film and his animated title sequence for ONCE UPON A TIME IN LONDONGRAD for Sky Originals was longlisted for a BAFTA. He also recently created two stop-motion promos for the BBC's THE SLEEPING FORECAST one of which showed in official selection at Annecy Film Festival.

Yoav's interest in the arts also includes social action and campaigning and his film IRONS IN THE FIRE (Sky Arts / Sky 3D), narrated by Idris Elba, called for more creative opportunity for at-risk youth. Yoav was Founding Creative Director of RightsInfo (now EachOther), a social media project bringing human rights understanding to the public through imaginative and creative ideas. He has twice been an Arts Emergency mentor.

In 2020 he received an MA with distinction in Theatre Design from the University of the Arts London, having studied at Wimbeldon College of Arts. He is now taking on design opportunities of every size and shape.
